Alhondra Lopez

Alhondra Lopez is a Mexican storyteller pursuing a career in the arts as a sculptor and environmental activist. She graduated with an associate of applied science degree - film production technician - from Salt Lake Community College. She went on to complete a bachelor of fine arts degree with a double major in environmental studies and ceramics at Westminster University.

Alhondra explores the ideologies and issues in our interconnected global community using art and film. Her themes focus on defending, protecting and educating about the critical issues our planet faces.

She is the 2024 Artist in Residence at the Leonardo Museum in Salt Lake City.

She wrote and directed the award winning short film, Salsa Molcajete.
